Chris is the Director of International Partnerships and Outreach and provides leadership and support to the campus community as it seeks to fulfill the internationalization initiatives of UMD’s Strategic Plan. His first international experience was as a high school teacher. He taught full-time in the Department of English and assisted in the development of a boarding school program for TASIS Hellenic International School, a campus of The American School in Switzerland.
He has held a variety of University positions enjoying direct responsibility for domestic and international enrollment initiatives, allocation of all institutional scholarship and financial aid resource, departmental planning, and professional staff supervision.
Chris is a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators and the Forum on Education Abroad and a number of other professional organizations. His wealth of institutional and international knowledge and his entrepreneurial spirit allows him to identify and develop international relationships of benefit to University faculty, staff, and students alike.
