Kali Kelleher is the International Recruitment Coordinator for the University of Minnesota Duluth International Programs and Services (IPS) office. She works closely with the IPS team and Admissions team to communicate with prospective international applicants and foster on- and off-campus partnerships to best support incoming students. Kali received her individualized Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in Spanish and Latino Studies and minors in Mathematics and Global Studies. She is currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and is finishing her Master of Arts degree in Comparative International Development Education and a minor in Program Evaluation. Kali looks forward to pursuing opportunities to connect international students and partner institutions to the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Kali has studied in Scotland and Costa Rica and worked abroad in China and Cameroon. She loves learning new languages, currently speaks some Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, and holds a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate from the WESLI Teacher Training Program to teach others English. She taught A-Level mathematics and IELTS and TOEFL English speaking courses for a year at an international school in Kunming, China. While not at work, she loves to travel to understand more about the cultures and customs where she is visiting, and finding new ways of communicating and establishing connections. She believes wholeheartedly in international/intercultural education, experiential learning, global citizenship, and holistic, student-centered advising practices.
