Stephanie Magedanz Bartsch is the Graphic and Multimedia Communications associate for the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) International Programs and Services office. She designs and creates promotional print, digital, and web media for both international student recruitment and study abroad. She also facilitates a variety of events and outreach efforts for the office. Stephanie received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UMD in graphic design, with minors in art and music. She is a member of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts), the University of Minnesota System Communicator’s Forum, UMD Communicator’s Council, and serves on the UMD Campus Web Advisory Committee. Stephanie has completed the University of Minnesota Duluth's ILD: Intercultural Leadership Development program.

She grew up in a multi-cultural family (her mom is from the Philippines) and always had an interest in travel and learning about other cultures. In college, she participated in a short-term study abroad School of Fine Arts exchange program in Palermo, Italy. In 2008 she spent two years serving in the Peace Corps teaching high-school English in Puok, Cambodia. Stephanie has traveled throughout Southeast Asia as well as Europe for both work and pleasure. She is passionate about encouraging others to be open to new experiences and broadening their horizons by traveling and exploring new cultures.
