International Programs & Services (IPS) represents select campus internationalization activities that support the University’s strategic plan.
The University of Minnesota Duluth International Programs and Services office provides high-quality international programs and support services to the university community to promote campus internationalization initiatives and global engagement.
We will lead UMD’s vision for campus internationalization through collaboration with students, faculty, staff, and our global partners. We envision a campus community where all may engage through learning, research, and service to succeed in an increasingly global society.
We are a U.S. Passport Acceptance Facility
We proudly operate a U.S. Passport Facility, that is open to the campus community and general public. U.S. citizens may apply for, get an official photo taken (for passports or visas), or learn how to renew a passport all in the same location. A standard passport can take 6–8 weeks to process, so plan accordingly. We provide services by appointment only, so please schedule in advance at (218) 726-8764 and our friendly staff will walk you through the process. The International Programs and Services office comprises of a team of professional staff members and student workers ready to assist the campus community in its internationalization efforts. We are open Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4:30 PM.
