How to Apply
- Submit UMD Undergraduate Application (for undergraduate students/conditional admission only) or UMD Graduate Application (for graduate students)
- Submit the English-only Application (English-only students)
- Submit a scan of passport
- Scans of official transcripts (only if applying for conditional admission)
- Financial Certification Form (for students who attend ESL courses while in the U.S.)

Student Visa
ELCI can provide documents required to secure the appropriate visa for full-time language study in our program.
Admission to a UMD Degree Program
Admission to the ELCI Intensive English Program includes conditional admission to UMD degree programs. Students interested in English-only programs are welcome to apply.
TOEFL / IELTS / Duolingo Waivers & Conditional Admission
Students who complete the ELCI program do not need to submit TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo test results.
