Study Abroad at UMD

It's our goal to offer a range of study abroad program options in the major regions of the world to UMD students. We work to develop programs that align with UMD’s academic units—as well as support the learning outcomes and strategic plan of the university.

Additionally, we provide the required risk management services to faculty, staff, and students traveling internationally as defined by the University of Minnesota Education Abroad policy. In collaboration with UMD faculty and staff, we strive to continuously monitor and improve our study abroad programs as well as create safe, socially, and fiscally responsible opportunities for students.

We invite UMD faculty and staff to be a part of study abroad program development. Your input is invaluable when creating programs to complement academic subjects offered at UMD.
